  1. How long is a session? Each session is 50 minutes long.
  2. How much does a session cost? It costs £50
  3. How many sessions do I need to have? There is no minimum or maximum number of hours you can have. For some, a couple of sessions are enough. For others, counselling can take years. It depends on the individual and their needs and wants. A review is conducted every 6 weeks to look at the work done and where to go from there 3.
  4. What is your approach to counselling? Counsellors often have different approaches, such as cognitive-behavioural therapy, psychodynamic therapy, or pluralistic counselling. It's important to understand the counsellor's methodology and how it aligns with your needs. I am a Pluralistic Counsellor; I believe that throughout the therapeutic process a clients needs and want will change and we have the tools and training to be able to adapt the clients individual needs over time.
  5. Is everything I say confidential? Confidentiality is a cornerstone of counselling. However, there are exceptions, such as if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others.
  6. How do I know if counselling is right for me? Counselling can be beneficial for anyone experiencing emotional difficulties, stress, or seeking personal growth. It's a personal decision and can be discussed during an initial consultation. I offer a free 15 min meet and greet session. This allows a potential client to see if we are a good fit for working together and ask any questions they may have.
  7. What should I expect in the first session? The first session typically involves discussing your concerns, goals, and getting to know each other. It's an opportunity to see if the counsellor is a good fit for you.
  8. Can I stop counselling at any time? Yes, you can stop counselling whenever you feel it's appropriate. It's important to communicate your feelings and decisions with your counsellor.
